Over 80 distribution centers are located across the United States along with a waffle iron manufacturing and refurbishment center in South Bend, Indiana to ensure prompt distribution to all customers. *Job Summary*The Warehouse Sanitization Specialist is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the warehouse, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. The Warehouse Sanitization Specialist focuses on cleaning and sanitizing equipment, workstations, and all other areas of the facility to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for food handling and production operations.*Essential Duties and Responsibilities ** Sanitization of Equipment and Workstations:* Clean and sanitize food-handling equipment, tools, and machinery to meet company and regulatory standards.* Ensure all workstations and surfaces used by employees are thoroughly sanitized and ready for use.* Follow all FSQA sanitation daily/weekly/monthly/annual procedures.* Facility Cleaning:* Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of warehouse floors, walls, ceilings, and other structural areas.* Maintain cleanliness in storage areas, break rooms, and restrooms.* Compliance and Documentation:* Follow all food safety, sanitation, and cleaning protocols in accordance with industry standards (e.g., FDA, USDA, HACCP guidelines).* Document completed cleaning tasks and ensure all records are accurate and up-to-date.* Inventory and Supplies:* Monitor cleaning supply inventory and notify management of restocking needs.* Ensure proper use, handling, and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.* Team Collaboration:* Coordinate with warehouse and production staff to schedule cleaning times that minimize disruption to operations.* Report any maintenance or repair needs for equipment or facilities.*Position Requirements** High school diploma or equivalent.* Prior experience in warehouse or food production sanitization is preferred.* Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations (HACCP certification is a plus).* Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.* Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.* Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and equipment.* Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, lift up to 50 pounds, and stand for extended periods.* Exposure to a fast-paced warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures.* Frequent use of cleaning equipment, such as pressure washers and sanitizing sprayers.* May involve working during early mornings, evenings, or weekends based on cleaning schedules.
