**Warehouse Sanitation Custodian**

**Schoolcraft, MI**

**Job Responsibilities**

* Clean and perform preventative maintenance on floor scrubbing machine.

* Clean all warehouse floors with scrubber per Safe Quality Food (SQF) Master Cleaning Schedule (MCS).

* Sweep all debris off all warehouse floors per SQF MCS.

* Collect and dispose of all warehouse trash receptacles daily per SQF MCS.

* Organize and maintain all warehouse cleaning supplies and equipment.

**Duties**

* Sweep and clean floor of all large debris not removable by floor scrubber.

* Empty all trash cans and place contents in dumpster.

* Run floor scrubber over all open warehouse and rail dock surfaces.

* Ensure all products have plastic dust covers in place and maintain inventory of covers.

* Maintain damage material area, move material as needed and turn in corresponding paperwork.

* Clean and maintain pallet inverter areas in all applicable locations.

* Enforce all SQF, rules and regulations surrounding MCS.

* Clean and dry rail dock area to allow safe transport, loading, and unloading of rail cars.

* Assist warehouse and production workers in cleaning up damaged product from warehouse.

* Clean all external dock areas of debris and dispose.

* Maintain all equipment stored in dock area used to clean trailers prior to loading.

* Sweep and maintain clean areas between products stored in all warehouses.

* Keep bottom of rail dock area clean of debris.

* Maintain cleanliness of driver bathrooms in Warehouse A and E.

* Assist production teams in keeping their floors clean using floor scrubber when needed.

* Remove broken pallets and ensure broken pallet area is kept organized and clean.

* Assist production team in removing used super sacks to designated area.

* Maintain regular attendance, personal appearance, and adherence to all other policies and procedures put forth in company hand book.

* All other assigned tasks from Warehouse Manager.

**Minimum Job Requirements, Skills and Qualifications**

* High School diploma.

* Strong sense of Safety.

* Be able to read, write and speak English.

* Able to work effectively and safely in tight and/or confined spaces in all areas of the plant.

* Forklift certified.

* Boom certified.

* Understand SQF paperwork and properly be able to complete.

* Ability to work with minimal supervision.

* Good communication skills; must be able to communicate with all personnel (Contractors, Customers, Temporaries and Management).

**Certifications/Licenses**

* Valid Michigan Drivers License (pre-requisite for forklift license)

* No specific certifications and licenses are required.

**Interactions and Tools/Equipment Utilized in the Job**

* Follow instructions of Warehouse Lead, and Warehouse Manager.

* Operate forklift when necessary.

* Operates dock leveler, pallet inverter, stretch wrap machine.

* Maintains Warehouse Master Cleaning Book and reports.

* Communicates with Warehouse Workers to coordinate general cleaning and assisting with clean-up of spills.

**Physical Requirements**

Job requires for long periods of time and frequency:

* Walking to various locations in the facility.

* Climbing stairs, ladders and straight ladders with man-cage.

* Standing, crawling, crouching, kneeling and out-of-position working.

* Working in the elements during all seasons.

* Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. on occasions.

**Other Information**

* All rules and regulations of the Employee Handbook apply at all times.

* Hourly; commensurate with experience (wage range has been established by HR)
