Warehouse Parts Measurement Specialist - Illinois Staffing : Job Details

Robert Half is partnering with John Deere's Parts Distribution Center to find their next Warehouse Parts Measurement Specialist! You'll play a key role measuring parts and inputting data to support efficient packaging in a busy warehouse environment. Location: Onsite - Milan, IL (John Deere's North American Parts Distribution Center). Duration: Contract currently approved for 1 year, possibility of extension. Schedule: Flexible start time between 6:00-8:00am. Visa sponsorship not available now or in the future. Metatarsals are required day one.

Responsibilities:

• Measure parts as assigned and input data into the packaging specification application.
• Follow instructions provided by Supply Chain Warehouse (SCW) Analysts regarding what measurements to take and how.
• Operate a Cushman (battery-operated vehicle similar to a golf cart) to navigate the warehouse.
• Lift parts weighing up to 50 lbs. and be on your feet approximately 75% of the day.
• Occasionally travel to offsite warehouses near the Deere PDC within 10 miles.

Requirements:

• Basic Excel and computer skills.
• Good decision-making skills and ability to work with data sets.
• Comfortable operating a Cushman vehicle.
• Able to work standing for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a high-traffic warehouse environment.

Preferred:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, supply chain, or related fields (manager is open to recent graduates).
