Warehouse Order Selector - Performance Foodservice : Job Details

Position Overview:

Role Description:

The Warehouse Order Selector is responsible for selecting cases and containers of food and non-food items to accurately fill customer orders from our multi-level rack storage systems. Completed orders are transported to the loading dock staging area using an electric pallet jack or forklift, where they are wrapped, labeled, and prepared for shipment while adhering to safety regulations and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to established safety policies and procedures, maintaining a safe work environment by identifying and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Prepare for operations by reviewing work schedules, gathering necessary supplies, and ensuring all safety devices on equipment are functional.
• Meet productivity and accuracy standards set by the location and company guidelines.
• Operate pallet jacks to navigate multi-level racks and select products according to order sheets.
• Manually place stock items onto pallets from pick slots and racks as necessary.
• Transport completed pallets to the shipping dock staging area and shrink-wrap if needed.
• Ensure proper care and operation of equipment, completing vehicle inspections and paperwork at the end of each shift.
• Complete any other related tasks assigned within the organization.

Qualifications:

• Availability to work assigned shifts and required overtime.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift throughout the shift.
• Capable of lifting, stacking, and pulling products weighing from 10-35 pounds, and occasionally up to 90 pounds based on location.
• Willingness to work in varying temperature environments, such as cooler, freezer, and dry areas.
• Successful completion of a post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
