Career Start is currently seeking a Warehouse Operator's in Syracuse, NY. To be considered for this Warehouse Operator position, preferred candidates will have prior experience with Powered Industrial Trucks. The Warehouse Operator will be responsible for palletizing, tracking of production orders, use of inventory management system for transferring product to the correct locations, printing labels and proper placement of labels on the finished goods pallets, and loading of finished goods onto outbound trailers. Shifts Available: 1st: 6 AM to 4 PM Sunday through Wednesday 2nd: 2 PM to 12 AM Sunday through Wednesday 3rd: 10 PM to 8 AM Sunday through Wednesday Responsibilities of the Warehouse Operator:
- Operates palletizing equipment to supply pallets, slip and tie sheets as needed to maintain production needs.
- Responsible for operating pallet wrappers and attached conveyor lines. Troubleshoots and corrects issues as necessary.
- Operates Inventory Management System components to include handheld scanners and computer terminals to ensure proper tracking of raw and finished goods.
- Operates Powered Industrial Trucks in a safe manner.
- Loads finished goods onto outgoing trailers and perform all required safety checks prior to loading or removing goods from trailers.
- Performs inspection of finished goods pallets for adjacent line operators prior to them being loaded on outbound trailers.
- Completes load diagrams, assign trailer seals as required for outbound loads, and places them in designated positions for supply driver's use.
- Works safely and reports safety concerns promptly to their supervisor/lead and take corrective actions as needed.
- Ensures work areas are sanitary and strictly adhere to sanitation practices.
- Communicate effectively between shifts and other departments.
Requirements of the Warehouse Operator:
- Prior PIT experience preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, diving and knowledge of weights and measurements to perform job tasks correctly.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, lift, pull, climb, balance, crouch, handle and move items weighing up to 50 pounds consistently.
