About Us

At the California Waterfowl Association (CWA), we believe in more than conserving waterfowl and wetlands—we believe in passing along a love of the outdoors and a proud hunting heritage to the next generation. With a team of 50+ staff and thousands of volunteers and members, we work every day to protect wildlife, wild spaces, and the traditions that connect people to them.

The Role

We're looking for a Warehouse Operations Manager who takes pride in keeping things organized, efficient, and running smoothly. This position is the heartbeat of our warehouse—making sure merchandise is where it needs to be, when it needs to be there. From handling inventory systems to ensuring firearms compliance, you'll play a key role in supporting our fundraising and membership efforts. If you enjoy solving problems, improving processes, and rolling up your sleeves, this role could be a great fit.

What You'll Do

  • Lead daily warehouse operations: receiving, shipping, storage, and order fulfillment
  • Keep inventory accurate using SAGE100, Fast Bound, and related tools
  • Ensure full compliance with ATF and California DOJ firearms regulations
  • Supervise and mentor the Warehouse Assistant to keep operations safe and efficient
  • Support fundraising campaigns and events with coordinated merchandise shipments
  • Build strong relationships with vendors, transport partners, and internal staff
  • Perform regular audits and semi-annual physical inventories; assist with year-end audits
  • Identify ways to improve processes, reduce costs, and work smarter

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of warehouse or inventory management experience (nonprofit/event-driven a plus)
  • Experience with SAGE100 (or similar ERP) and Fast Bound
  • Knowledge of ATF/DOJ firearms compliance
  • Strong organization and multitasking skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Supervisory or training experience preferred

Physical Side of the Job

  • Lift up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable with ladders, warehouse equipment, and variable climates
  • Extended periods of standing and walking

Why You'll Love Working Here

This isn't just another warehouse job—it's a chance to make a difference. Every item you help move supports conservation, education, and advocacy efforts that matter to California's future. You'll join a passionate team that values hard work, collaboration, and mission-driven results.

Pay & Benefits

$25 – $30 per hour (DOE)

Plus: medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave.
