Responsibilities:
- Store and maintain items in their respective locations in the warehouse
- Handle and execute loading and unloading operations
- Facilitate all production needs
- Keep the warehouse premises neat
- Maintaining an SQF food environment
- Prepare and process BOLs
- Other job duties as assigned
*Denotes Food Safety Job Training Requirements: Each incumbent must complete training and testing on the following topics upon hire and annually after that:
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- HACCP
- Food Safety
- Allergens
- Chemicals
- Lock Out-Tag Out
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Forklift certification
- 1 - 2 years of experience operating a forklift
Literacy:
- Ability to understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; and toxic or caustic chemicals
- The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock
- Hot or cold temperatures
- The noise level in the work environment is loud
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
