Starting Pay: $27.16/hour (Night Shift Differential)

Status: Full-Time | Immediate Hire

Schedule: Availability to work nights, including weekends and holidays.

Role Overview:

As a Warehouse Equipment Operator, also known as an Intermodal Equipment Operator, you will be essential to the safe and efficient handling of shipping containers in our intermodal yard. You will operate specialized heavy equipment—including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders—to load, unload, and relocate containers, ensuring timely freight movement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Efficiently operate heavy equipment to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks.
• Drive hostlers to organize and position containers within the yard.
• Utilize top loaders, side loaders, and cranes to stack and move containers effectively.
• Conduct equipment inspections before and after use to maintain safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate tasks.
• Uphold a safe work environment by adhering to established protocols and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating heavy machinery in logistics or industrial settings preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic communication skills and teamwork ability.
• Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs on and off railcars.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in intermodal or rail yard operations.
• Familiarity with container handling equipment such as hostlers or cranes.
• CDL or similar equipment certifications are a plus, but not required.
