**JOB SUMMARY:**

The Warehouse and Shuttle Driver will have responsibility for acting as a Warehouse Operator (70% of the role) by loading and unloading materials within our Distribution Center. Along with acting as a CDL customer delivery rep. (30% of the role) by safely handling and delivering Lube-Tech products.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:**

**Warehouse Responsibilities**

* Using forklift and/or pallet jacks to accurately pick orders and loading freight regularly

* Receiving of vendor receipts and transfers

* Inspects materials for nonconformities, following non-conforming process if necessary

* Uses the warehouse management system utilizes scanners to maintain accurate inventory

* Wrap pallets securely for shipment

* Preparation of hazardous materials for shipment, including completing DOT HAZMAT paperwork as necessary

* Pack cartons correctly and stack cartons on pallets

* Transfer bulk products into drums, totes and pails

* Follows work instructions according to company policies and procedures

* Follow all safety guidelines and regulations

**Driver Responsibilities**

* Safely and accurately deliver products to customers on time using DOT regulated vehicles requiring a Class B or A license and HAZMAT endorsement

* Portray a positive company image through attentive customer service and professional appearance, positive interaction and high work-ethic

* Safely and accurately deliver products to customers on time

* Moving trailers in and out of dock doors and/or repositioning trailers within parking lot

* Maintain current drivers license with appropriate endorsements and medical card

* Comply with DOT hours of service rules and maintain truck operation in full compliance with DOT regulations

* Utilize driver paper logbooks as needed

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:**

**Education:**

* High school diploma/GED equivalent, including basic math and literacy skills

**Experience/Training**:

* 1 year of driving experience, preferably in a similar industry

* Meets all D.O.T. qualifications in accordance with the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Regulations, Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations.

* Must be able to effectively communicate to maintain positive relations with team members

* Capable of standing, walking and repeatedly climbing into and out of truck tractor or forklift several times throughout the day. Ability to lift 50lbs periodically

* Must be able to perform basic math skills

* Must have attention to detail

* High Level of flexibility

* Knowledge of quality management systems

* Knowledge of inspection processes

* Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions in English

* Must be able to perform basic mathematical skills

* One or more years in a warehouse setting recommended

**Licenses/Certificates:**

* Class A or B license; clean safety record; current DOT medical card

* Forklift Certification preferred this role will be certified within the Lube-Tech Safety Guidelines

**PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:**

Ability to get in and out of truck several times a day; lift up to 75 LBS, push/pull a barrel or dolly up to 600 LBS Must be able speak, read and write, and have mathematical skills, all with sufficient proficiency to understand instructions, complete required paperwork, and communicate clearly with supervisors and staff. Instructions and required government forms are generally in English. Must be able to speak clearly, see, hear, and smell sufficiently well to safely perform assigned duties including recognizing and responding to emergencies. Must be able to think logically, question, remember, understand, concentrate, reason, make decisions, prioritize, and deal with deadlines and multiple projects. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

**WORKING ENVIRONMENT:**

This is a CDL driving position. This position will be susceptible to noises associated with driving heavy machinery. This position requires the driver to be in attendance during the entire process of loading the truck and making deliveries. The employee will be constantly working in outdoor weather conditions and around loud machinery with exposure to extreme heat in the warehouse areas. The work performed may be outside in the rain, snow, or wind, or inside in hot or cold areas. Temperatures and humidity may vary from very low to very high. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
