Warehouse & Delivery Technician - Westside Medical Supply : Job Details

Join our team as a Warehouse & Delivery Technician and play a vital role in ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to our valued customers! As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods to designated locations while providing exceptional customer service.

Warehouse Duties:

- Lead the gathering and loading of deliveries each day (8:30-9am).

- Utilize forklifts or other equipment for loading/unloading heavy items when necessary.

- Assist with same day deliveries and last-minute discharges.

- Assemble newly received equipment as needed.

- Learn basic wheelchair setups (K0001-K0004).

- Train and understand the procedures and protocols for cleaning and disinfecting equipment.

- Clean & disinfect all returned/used equipment within 24 hours (based on hqaa.org for accreditation purposes).

- Ensure the warehouse is clean and organized. Empty all trash cans every other day in warehouse, main store, & kitchen.

- Assist with maintenance around the building when needed.

- Assist with snow removal in winter months - front sidewalk, back overhang area, loading ramps, etc.

- Assist with the upkeep of the grounds as needed/requested.

- Handle any Special Projects that the Warehouse Manager assigns.

Delivery Duties:

- Safely and efficiently operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to customer's locations.

- Adhere to all commercial driving regulations and traffic laws to maintain a safe driving record.

- Load and unload products from the vehicle following proper safety procedures.

- Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns.

- Provide excellent customer service by being courteous, professional, and helpful during deliveries.

- Set up and fully explain basic functions of equipment at the time of delivery.

- Lead two person deliveries (currently Monday, Wednesday & Fridays)

**Requirements:**

- Prior experience as a Warehouse Technician and/or Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.

- Proficiency in route driving and navigating various locations.

- Ability to lift and move heavy items (75 lbs); experience with load/unload safety procedures.

- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and co-workers.

- Customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on exceeding customer expectations.

- Familiarity with operating vans or other delivery vehicles is advantageous.
