Job Title: Warehouse Associate Location: Midlothian, VA 23112 Overview: Our client, a leader in the distribution and manufacturing of construction materials, is seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Associate for their Doral/Miami distribution center. This role involves performing specialized warehouse tasks including loading, unloading, order pulling, shipping, returns, forklift operation, and material handling. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-minded, and a strong team player. Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload containers, sort, pick, stock, stage, and transport goods.
- Move materials to and from designated storage areas (racks, shelves, or vehicles).
- Stack or pile materials such as lumber, boards, or pallets.
- Condense bins and maintain visibility of slabs.
- Prepare bundles for trucks and assist in next-day delivery readiness.
- Install protective devices (bracing, padding, strapping) to prevent damage during transport.
- Verify stock counts against documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Receive and fill material/product orders for installers and subcontractors.
- Operate forklifts or other machinery to complete tasks.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Forklift/overhead crane experience required; current OSHA certification preferred.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs frequently, and work in varied environments (including outdoor conditions).
- Some warehouse or material handling experience preferred.
