The Warehouse Associate at AMVAC provides support for the on-site warehouse including shipping & receiving of equipment and supplies, inventory control and personnel escort. Duties include forklift support, product shipping, receiving, and deliveries to different departments and locations outside of the warehouse in a safe and timely manner. - Prepare and package product for shipment according to procedures including labeling, stenciling, banding, wrapping, micromatics ensuring all guidelines are met
- Pull products, raw materials, packaging, and reworks as requested
- Remove and add incoming and outbound products into the current warehouse inventory system
- Ensure that all products entering the warehouse are correctly labeled before receiving
- Ensure that all products are shipped in a timely manner according to shipping schedules
- Responsible for material handling and assist in the weekly auditing program
- Operate a forklift following all company and safety requirements
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse and surrounding areas including storeroom and laydown yard
- Document shipping discrepancies and return for correction as required
- Inspect shipping trailers and containers before loading and unloading reporting any hazards to the warehouse supervisor
- Compile accurate receiving logs for deliveries and track using an Excel spreadsheet
- Record deliveries in the delivery logbook and ensure packages are signed upon delivery
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory safety and environmental requirements
- Comply with all company policies, practices and directives to promote a safe workplace
- Perform other assignments as necessary and directed by management
- Work Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, 5 days a week
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- 1+ year of experience working in a warehouse - ideally in a chemical manufacturing plant
- Ability to obtain forklift certification within 45 days of hire
- Proven commitment to safety and environmental compliance
- Experience working in a team environment to achieve warehouse and storeroom requirements
- Must be able to work weekend and day/night 12 hour rotating shifts, if production needs require
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Be prompt, dependable and have a good attendance record
- Must be able to participate in the respiratory program which includes being clean shaven and able to wear a respirator when safety needs dictate
- Must be able to pass a physical and drug test
- Must be able to pass a Department of Homeland Security approved pre-employment criminal background check
- Highschool diploma or equivalent required
