WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE - EmployBridge : Job Details

In this role, you will be responsible for moving and storing large boxes as shipments come in. Your contributions will play a vital role in enhancing our efficiency, profitability, and overall customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

As a Warehouse Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the warehouse. Your responsibilities will include:

• Receiving and Inventory Management: Receive and process warehouse stock products by unloading, labeling, and storing items. -Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular inventory controls to uphold quality standards.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that all merchandise is safely and securely packed.
• Report any discrepancies or damaged items to supervisors immediately.
• Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and safe working environment by keeping shelves, pallet areas, and workstations organized. Follow safety policies and procedures, and promote a culture of safety among team members.
• Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, while performing daily inspections and reporting any maintenance needs.
• Documentation and Reporting: Complete daily logs and reports by entering required information into inventory systems. Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and comply with organizational standards.
• Team Collaboration: Communicate and cooperate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to achieve team goals. Assist in training newly employed workers and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Compliance and Standards: Follow quality service standards and comply with all procedures, rules, and regulations to ensure operational efficiency and safety.

Additional Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year prior warehouse experience (varies by job example)
• Experience with electric pallet jacks
• Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently -Closed toed shoes required upon hire
• Capability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks

Preferred Skills:

• Prior experience in a warehouse setting
• Knowledge of forklift operation
• Strong independent work ethic and commitment to safety
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High attention to detail with the ability to monitor quality and quantity of inventory
• Forklift Certification preferred for longer term possibilities

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently; lift up to 70 lbs occasionally
• Physically capable of standing, sitting, moving, squatting, walking, and climbing throughout the shift

• Working independently or in a team to pick, pack, and ship items
• Safely relocating or repacking inventory items as directed, up to 50 pounds in weight
• Operating machinery or other light equipment as trained in a safe and responsible manner
• Reaching, crouching, bending over, and other physically strenuous activities as required by the immediate supervisor
• Working on your feet at a fast pace for the entirety of the shift
• Comfortable working in an environment where there are forklifts, machinery, large trucks, and other standard or sub-standard warehouse equipment
• There may be a specific dress code, but if it is not listed, please make sure to wear close-toed shoes and pants.
