Warehouse Associate - The Barton Group : Job Details

Job Type Full-time Description This position plays a key part in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of flooring materials throughout our warehouse. This role is responsible for a variety of tasks, from operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment to accurately picking and packing orders for our installation crews. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following duties and responsibilities are a general overview of the position:

• Safely and efficiently operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc.) to move and store flooring materials.
• Accurately pick, pack, and palletize flooring materials for customer orders and installer deliveries.
• Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling and securement of materials to prevent damage.
• Receive incoming shipments, verify quantities against packing slips, and inspect materials for damage.
• Assist with inventory control by accurately recording stock locations and participating in cycle counts.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Adhere to all warehouse safety regulations and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Work collaboratively with other warehouse associates to ensure efficient workflow and meet daily objectives.
• Courteously responds to inquiries.
• Maintain an organized and safe work environment.
• Can work both independently and in teams.
• Perform other related projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications: •Must pass all criminal, substance and or financial background checks as requested. •Must possess a valid class c driver's license and pass Motor Vehicle Report audits. Education and Experience: •High School Diploma or General Education Diploma and at least 6 months of direct Warehouse Assistant/Clerk or Associate experience to include logistics and inventory management for internal and external candidates.
