Job Details We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team in Conway, AR, with an excellent pay rate of $16.50 per hour. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for various tasks related to moving, organizing, and maintaining inventory in our warehouse facility.
Key Responsibilities - Move freight and stock to and from loading docks, delivery vehicles, storage areas, and production areas manually or using equipment such as trucks, tractors, or forklifts.
- Follow written or oral instructions regarding daily tasks and job duties to ensure efficient workflow.
- Stage products based on customer orders and assist in filling customer orders accurately and promptly.
- Sort cargo during the loading or unloading process and mark containers with identifying information for proper organization.
- Stack cargo in specific locations using cargo boards or pallets to optimize storage space and accessibility.
- Document the number of units handled or moved each day using production sheets to track productivity and inventory levels.
- Utilize protective devices such as padding and straps to prevent damage to items during transport.
- Use assistive devices like slings and hooks to lift and guide cargo safely and efficiently.
- Operate machinery such as booms, cameras, cranes, and forklifts to handle materials and stock as needed.
- Responsible for daily transfers from the warehouse to the shipping department, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Maintain inventory control of hardware, leather, supplies, resale items, and other materials in designated warehouse areas.
- Communicate effectively with factory employees to keep hardware and materials in constant stock and ensure smooth operations.
- Receive, check-in, and stock freight accurately, following inventory management protocols.
- Empty scrap leather and box bins regularly to maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the warehouse.
- Check emails daily and respond as needed to ensure timely communication and coordination.
Qualifications - Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not required; we provide training.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects and materials as part of daily duties.
- Familiarity with operating forklifts, cranes, and other warehouse equipment is a plus.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic computer skills to document and track inventory and communicate via email.
- Safety-conscious mindset and adherence to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
- Must maintain a clean, neat, and organized workspace to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
