Warehouse Associate

Automation Personnel Services is seeking several Warehouse Associates for a catalog distribution company in Chattanooga, TN. In this role, you will be expected to pull customer orders correctly using a handheld barcode scanning system and prepare for shipping. Positions have temporary opportunities to hire based on performance over 90 days.

Qualified Candidates MUST have a longevity of 1-plus years of experience in a warehouse or equivalent.

Pay Rates and Bonus:

A shift: $16.00 per hour PLUS a biweekly productivity bonus up to $5 more an hour

B shift: $16.50 per hour PLUS a biweekly productivity bonus up to $5 more an hour

Bonus: Attendance and performance must be in good standing to receive $50 bonus after 30 days

Schedule and Hours:

All shifts currently working 12-hour days 5-days a week

A shift: 6:00am 6:00pm Monday-Friday (regular schedule 7:00am-4:00pm)

B shift: 4:00pm-4:00am Monday-Friday (regular schedule 4:00pm-1:00am)

Job Duties and Responsibilities Order Picking

• Pick merchandise in batches to fulfill customer orders
• Box the picked merchandise and organize for quality control to review before sending to shipping
• Restock items from secondary locations to primary location to speed up the picking process

Quality Control

• Check and scan items from the batches to be placed in individual orders
• Verify that individual orders are complete and send to shipping to be packaged and sent out
• Verify that the order is correct
• Coordinate with inventory control on orders with missing merchandise

Packing

• Verify shipping labels are accurate
• Load trucks in a timely manner
• Restock shipping supplies in stalls

Receiving

• Count, weigh and measure items of incoming shipments in order to verify information against invoices, purchase orders, bills of lading or other records
• Verify accuracy of shipments and if no exceptions enter into inventory
• Stamp company invoices with terms/due dates and file
• Process over shipped or damaged merchandise and send back to company

Stocking

• Restock inventory on shelves efficiently
• Repair worn bin boxes
• Moving inventory from receiving to restock shelves
• Move empty pallets back to the receiving area
• Stock inbound inventory to primary shelves or off shelves as necessary

Job Qualifications and Requirements

Basic computer skills

Withstand temperatures in a typical warehouse environment

Required to lift 50lbs (in office assessment will be conducted)

High school diploma or GED

Clear Background Check and Drug Screen Required

MUST have 2-3 years of related experience in one job to be considered
