Warehouse Associate - Outerknown : Job Details

POSITION DESCRIPTIONTitle & Reporting RelationshipsPosition Title: Warehouse Associate Reports to: Warehouse Manager and Assistant Warehouse Manager Department: Warehouse Interactions: Warehouse and Sales Staff Main Purpose and Major Challenges of the Role

• Pull and Pack orders. Whether it be for shops or Website orders. Making sure that the orders pulled correctly, labelled correctly, and packed well.
• Loading and unloading containers or trucks. Needs to be able to team lift boxes up to 100lbs.
• The main challenge for this roll is making sure you are pulling the right product. It is very easy to pull the wrong product.

ACCOUNTABILITY: Pulling and Packing

• The sales staff will bring out orders. Job number 1 is pulling the right boards or accessories. Job number 2 pack them well, make sure that the boards/product are packed safely. Making sure we stay in the guidelines of what the company wants us to do with sustainability. Make sure that the boxes are labelled correctly.
• Pack single board orders all the way up to full size shop orders.

ACCOUNTABILITY: Unloading and Loading

• Containers are how we get our boards from the factory. A couple times a month we unload containers and put the boards away. It is a team job to make sure that the boards are checked in and put away correctly.
• We load the orders onto box trucks when being shipped out. We team load the trucks with the orders.

ACCOUNTABILITY: Organize and Clean Help keep the warehouse organized and clean. Make sure that we are sweeping up our workspaces. Refill product bins(fins, pads, and leashes). When a bin is empty make sure that is filled back up. ACCOUNTABILITY: Personal Measurables

• Team Player. The warehouse runs on teamwork. Whether it is unloading or loading a container/truck, or putting away the boards one they are checked in.
• Creative. Sometimes in the warehouse we must think out of the box to get things done correctly. Our boards are not always one size box that fits all boards, so we need to modify the boxes to fit the boards.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Be able to team lift 100lbs
• Able to climb up and down ladders
• Organized and clean
• Basic computer skills(email)
