Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. This role is critical to supporting the daily operations of our aerospace fittings manufacturing facility by ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant shipment and receipt of materials, parts, and finished products.
Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and other documentation Properly package, label, and prepare outgoing shipments according to customer specifications and aerospace compliance requirements Accurately document inventory movements in ERP or inventory systems (such as Oracle, SAP, or similar) Coordinate with internal departments such as Quality, Production, and Purchasing to ensure material flow aligns with production schedules Handle export documentation and compliance with ITAR and other regulatory requirements, as applicable Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shipping and receiving area Perform periodic inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently Ensure adherence to all company policies, safety regulations, and aerospace industry standards
Qualifications & Requirements: High school diploma or GED required 2+ years of experience in a shipping and receiving role, preferably in an aerospace or manufacturing environment Familiarity with aerospace-grade packaging, documentation, and handling standards (e.g., MIL-STD) Working knowledge of inventory control systems and computer skills (email, Excel, ERP systems) Forklift certification a plus Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and work on your feet for extended periods Knowledge of fittings, hardware, and aerospace part specifications plus understanding of ITAR, EAR and other export compliance regulations
Education: This position requires a minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree. A minimum of (3) years of relevant industrial experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
