Warehouse Associate - Big Cuts Team - Chesapeake, VA - GCG : Job Details

Seacoast, a GCG Company, is currently hiring a Warehouse Associate to join our big cuts team in Chesapeake, VA. In this role, you will be responsible for operating spooling machines, doing inventory control, and assisting with general warehouse duties as needed.

Hours: 7AM to 4PM Mon-Fri with an hour for lunch

Pay Rate: $19/hr + full benefits

• Daily set-up and operation of spooling machine to wind, spool, and package materials
• Pick up and pull large cables onto machines
• Run test spool daily to ensure accurate measurements and specifications
• Perform pre-operational checks to ensure proper functioning of equipment
• Measure cable before returning to stock to ensure inventory accuracy
• Assist with general inventory control duties
• Perform additional duties as needed

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required
• At least 1 year of manufacturing or machine operating experience required
• Experience using RF scanner required
• At least 1 year of forklift experience required
• Basic math and reading skills
• Forklift experience a plus
• Must be able to regularly stand, walk, bend and lift 50lbs
