Data collectors will either be or have been certified and licensed speech-language pathologists or certified teachers or the equivalent as measured by working 10 years in the field of speech-language pathology or education. When the data collector has a current certification and license in speech-language pathology, they will also supervise LSU students when schedules permit.
The Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders is in hiring for Data Collectors relevant to the needs of NIH Grant: GR-00011621.
Job Responsibilities:
This includes driving to public schools to collect data, communicating with teachers and others employed by the school, and collecting data that will be audio recorded and loaded to secure servers, and meet strict levels (90%) of data collection fidelity and reliability. The data will include standardized tests and experimental protocols that are complex and new to the field and the participants will speak a variety of dialects that are not well documented in the literature. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field. A Valid Driver's License is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
10 years experience in the field of speech-language pathology or education
