VP of P&C Operations - Welling Young, LLC : Job Details

Welling Young has partnered with an independent insurance agency currently seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to expand and grow their P&C operations. As a pivotal member of our organization, the chosen candidate will collaborate closely with key leaders, reporting to the SVP of Operations while working in tandem with the P&C leadership team. Your duties will be to direct and lead the service team to build a top performing service platform with a principal focus on commercial property and casualty for the automotive dealerships.

Responsibilities

• Build a cohesive and high-performing service team aligned with the companies mission and values
• Hire, train, and manage client service personnel.
• Create and maintain training programs for both the client service team and sales team.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Accounting, Business Analysts, HR) to streamline internal processes and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with sales leadership to enhance processes and efficiencies.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with carriers and underwriters.
• Oversee compliance with all regulatory requirements and ensure adherence to industry standards
• Respond to client inquiries, addressing issues that escalate beyond the account service team
• Manage expenses and overhead for Property & Casualty operations.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in the P&C insurance industry, preferably with a focus on the auto dealership sector or commercial lines.
• 5+ years of leadership experience in managing teams, driving strategy, and achieving growth in a brokerage setting.
• Relevant industry certifications such as CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter), ARM (Associate in Risk Management), or CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor).
