A leader in the travel arrangements industry is seeking a strategic and results-driven Vice President of Air and Rail Contracts and Operations to lead their air travel programs and operations. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive innovation, optimize operations, and build strong relationships with key airline and rail partners. With a focus on delivering seamless travel experiences and maintaining competitive pricing, this position is ideal for an experienced leader passionate about driving growth and operational excellence in the travel industry.

• Responsibilities:Develop and lead the company's air and rail strategy, including negotiating partner contracts and ensuring competitive pricing and service levels.
• Oversee air/rail pricing, ticketing operations, and flight schedule adjustments integrated with proprietary systems.
• Manage day-to-day operations of cross-functional teams responsible for contracting, fare filing, ticketing, and resolving operational issues.
• Collaborate with Contact Center, Customer Experience, Product, Legal, and Technology teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Analyze performance data to identify opportunities for cost reduction, operational efficiency, and enhanced customer satisfaction.
• Represent the company in discussions with airline and rail partners, trade negotiations, and industry events.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and contract obligations across all airline operations.
• Resolve customer service issues related to air and rail products to maintain a seamless travel experience.
• Must-Have Skills:7–10 years of progressive executive leadership experience in airline operations or air contracting within a tour operator, consolidator, or airline.
• Strong expertise with GDS systems (Apollo required) and airline pricing/fare structures.
• Proven track record in leading high-performing teams and managing strategic airline partnerships.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Bachelor's degree in business, travel, or a related field preferred.
• Nice-to-Have Skills:Experience with rail travel operations and contracting.
• Knowledge of proprietary travel systems and integration with flight scheduling tools.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the travel arrangements industry.
• Ability to manage travel operations in a high-paced, dynamic environment.
• Previous experience participating in management incentive programs tied to corporate financial goals.
