The VP, Group Media Director is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the planning, execution and innovation of paid media strategies for a portfolio of travel clients. Oversee an integrated media planning portfolioA strategic and visionary leader who thrives in complexity and fosters a culture of innovationExpertise in the full media planning cycle as well as all functional responsibilities across all roles and channels for an agencyDemonstrated track record of success leading large-scale media accountsFocus on developing custom media solutions and innovative new media opportunities to drive the work forwardParticipate in client leadership groups across key clients with other channel leads and focus on alignment of media and creative messaging
Team Leadership
Proactively deliver client solutions and manage a team to build strategic-thinking talentMaintain advanced knowledge of trends and industry best practices to ensure media teams are operating and innovating at the highest possible standardLiaise with channel heads as necessary to ensure collaboration and continuity among work teamsParticipate as part of the media division's senior leadership teamMentor team members and oversee the portfolio's workloadOversee media planning, buying and optimization to ensure efficiency and effectiveness, meeting brand and performance media goalsAbility to think critically and leverage data for insights and storytellingWork closely with data and analytics teams on measurement strategies and testing opportunitiesParticipate in media-related new business efforts across the agencyActively contribute to thought leadership both within the travel and media industriesMaintain strong vendor relationships
Experience & Education requirements
Minimum 10 years agency/media experienceExtensive working knowledge of integrated paid media channelsProven experience managing high-impact campaigns, blending innovative and data-driven solutions across client budgetsUnderstanding of planning and buying platforms, including web analytics, ad servers and media research toolsExcellent leadership, management and motivational skills
