Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Senior Vice President Senior Commercial Risk Officer and in accordance with established policies, the VP Commercial Lending performs interviews, preliminary underwriting, decision-making, and loan closings for all commercial loans. The role involves analyzing financial information for current and prospective clients and assisting Credit Administration with credit reports for the loan committee. The description below outlines the typical duties of the position.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide high levels of customer service internally and externally.Represent MountainOne positively within the organization and community, supporting a positive workplace culture.Complete all training requirements timely.Evaluate new and existing loan relationships through due diligence, including credit history and repayment capabilities.Manage customer history reports, credit files, financial statements, and approvals, reviewing with the SVP as needed.Complete credit underwriting and make decisions based on Commercial Credit Policy and regulatory guidelines.Conduct annual credit reviews to monitor risk within the portfolio.Schedule and perform loan closings, ensuring all terms, conditions, and collateral are properly documented.Manage loan maturities, renewals, and reviews according to policy.Handle credit underwriting and decisions for ACH and RDC approvals for non-borrowing clients.Review real estate appraisals and environmental studies as required.Represent the bank at community events, chamber meetings, and business development programs.Attend officer and loan committee meetings as required.Maintain compliance with all bank policies, including BSA, confidentiality, and regulations.Engage in new business development through client calls, referrals, and networking.Deliver exceptional customer service, cross-sell products, and maintain existing client relationships.Manage the loan portfolio actively, including communication, financial data collection, and problem credit actions.Participate in community involvement to enhance visibility and generate new business opportunities.Additional Details
