Volunteer Services Programming Lead the vision, strategy, and execution of all volunteer services programming across RMHC CTX operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Recruit, onboard, train, and retain a high-quality pipeline of individual and group volunteers for all RMHC CTX programs. Implement ongoing training initiatives for volunteers, including scheduling trauma-informed care and compassionate communication workshops, in collaboration with the Family Support Services team. Collaborates with the Community Engagement Coordinator, who oversees group engagement, Meals from the Heart, Lunches with Love, and group volunteer activities; serves as back-up and coordinates both internal and external communication efforts. Works with the Family Experience, Family Support, Guest Experience, and Development teams to coordinate and schedule meaningful, volunteer-led family enrichment activities, such as tutoring, storytime, movie nights, and special events. Coordinates with the Family Experience and Volunteer Representative to ensure seamless volunteer shift scheduling and program coverage at our hospital partner locations. Volunteer Engagement & Recognition Foster a culture of appreciation through tailored recognition initiatives, including milestone celebrations, Volunteer of the Month programs, and annual appreciation events. Establish strong communication touchpoints with volunteers, in collaboration with the Marketing team, including newsletters, updates, opportunities for feedback and involvement, social media, volunteer stories, wish list needs, and recruitment efforts. Build long-term volunteer relationships that encourage leadership roles and ambassadorship within the community. Community Donations & In-Kind Resource Coordination Manage the RMHC CTX master Wish List, ensuring high-priority items and family essentials are continuously stocked. Source, organize, and coordinate the delivery and pick-up of food and snack donations in collaboration with volunteers and the Family Experience team. Partner with community groups, faith-based organizations, and corporate teams to mobilize support for special events, seasonal drives, and family comfort needs. Oversee the strategy of other revenue programs, including but not limited to Pop Tabs and the Clothing Donation bin.Program Support & Coordination Collaborate with the Family Experience team to support the daily operations of Ronald McDonald House and hospital programs, ensuring volunteer-supported programs enhance the family experience. Maintain accurate data on volunteer hours, program activities, and impact metrics using RMHC CTXs volunteer management systems. Work cross-functionally to evaluate program impact and recommend improvements based on feedback from families and volunteers. Ensure the webpages designated for Volunteer Recruitment and engagement are maintained with accuracy Oversees the volunteer opportunities in Bloomerang for individual volunteer shifts Hospital & Community Relations Serve as a liaison between RMHC CTX and Austin-area and BCS hospitals, strengthening collaborative relationships with Child Life teams, social workers, and hospital administration. Promote awareness of RMHC CTX programs to hospital staff, potential volunteers, and families. Represent RMHC CTX at community outreach events and hospital volunteer fairs. On-Call & Leadership Support Participate in a monthly rotating on-call schedule to provide leadership coverage and volunteer support during weekends or emergencies. Assist in the planning and implementation of new RMHC CTX programs or hospital site expansions.Qualificiations Bachelors degree required; background in nonprofit leadership, volunteer management, human services, or healthcare preferred. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience managing volunteers, developing programs, or coordinating services within a nonprofit or healthcare setting. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with volunteers, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and CRM/volunteer management systems; knowledge of Bloomerang Volunteer Management System or similar tools preferred. Spanish-speaking is a plus, but not required.Reports To: Family Experience DirectorSchedule and Status: Full-time, exempt role based in Austin, M-F schedule with an On-Call Weekend Schedule, fluctuates work days/hours on-site at the House(s) and at Hospital Program facilities.
