Through bold action and strategic investment, we create a space for new ideas, diverse perspectives, and social connection.Position OverviewPhilbrook Museum of Art seeks an organized, enthusiastic, and people-oriented Part-Time Volunteer Coordinator to support Philbrook's dynamic volunteer program. This role is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, training, and retaining a diverse group of volunteers to enhance the visitor experience and support various departments. This role will serve as the volunteer point of contact for programs and special events. The Volunteer Coordinator acts as a key liaison between Philbrook staff and volunteers, ensuring a positive, meaningful, and mission-aligned experience for all. This role requires the joy of working with people and a passion for our mission.Essential Responsibilities Networking, Recruiting, & Onboarding: Develop and implement strategies to attract a diverse pool of volunteers. Manage volunteer applications, conduct interview, and oversee volunteer orientation sessions. Collaborates with administrators and department leads to determine organizational needs.Attends community events to network and recruit volunteers.Keeps volunteers engaged, supported and motivated; plans volunteer events and appreciation. Administrative & Project Management: Prepares volunteer roles for special events and programs in a timely manner.Prepares and maintains procedural and training manuals/policies. Maintains accurate records in the volunteer management system. Tracks hours and produces regular reports. Relationship Management: Builds and maintains strong relationships with coworkers across departments to adequately fill the needs of the organization. Collaborates with appropriate administrators to coordinate volunteer operations and activities.
