Volunteer Coordinator - Overdale Elementary - Bullitt County Schools : Job Details

This position is for the 2025-2026 school year.NOTICE OF POSSIBLE WAIVER: To expedite the hiring for this position, the hiring supervisor may apply for a waiver of the 15 day posting period to prevent disruption of necessary instructional or support services. Overdale Elementary, located in the heart of Hillview, KY, is looking for a volunteer coordinator. This person is responsible for scheduling volunteers, running background checks, scheduling students photos, logging student records, and working with community organizations to raise funds for the school. Hours are flexible within the window of 9 AM - 3 PM daily, with the candidate working three hours each day that school is in session. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and provide copy to HR upon recommendation to hire. The position is 3 hours per day and 177 days per year. (170 school days, 7 Bullitt Days) Contracted days will be adjusted depending upon start date. Position is part time and not eligible for benefits unless combined with another position that makes it full time.New employees to the district may bring in up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience. (NOTE: It will be the responsibility of the applicant hired to submit the BCPS verification of experience form to their prior employer to complete and return to HR.)Step 0: $15.98 Step 10: $17.26Although Classified positions are paid on an hourly rate, salary is set up on a year-long contract and divided by the number of remaining paychecks.
