Volunteer Coordinator - The Bowery Mission : Job Details

The Bowery Mission is a Christian, faith-based organization committed since the 1870 s to serving people experiencing homelessness, hunger, and poverty. The Bowery Mission meets essential needs and creates transformative community with men, women, children, and families in New York so that we can together overcome homelessness and poverty and flourish. The Volunteer Coordinator is a member of The Bowery Missions Development Team. The Volunteer Services team provides critical support across the organization with the help of over 12,000 volunteers each year. As we implement a new strategic plan for Volunteer Services, the Volunteer Coordinator will play an important role in expanding and increasing the effectiveness of this department. The Coordinator will be an important face of The Bowery Mission to volunteers and other stakeholders, able to welcome and lead groups with a high standard of hospitality and professionalism.
