POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:
The Vocational Supervisor is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing vocational programs for neurodivergent adults in alignment with OPWDD (Office for People with Developmental Disabilities) standards and guidelines. This role ensures that vocational programming is participant-centered, compliance-driven, and outcome-focused, supporting individuals in gaining meaningful employment and vocational experiences. The Vocational Supervisor will lead staff, manage participant progress, ensure regulatory compliance, and reportdirectly to the Director of the Center.

· Ability to move frequently between offices, classrooms, training areas, or community job sites.
· May involve walking, standing, or sitting for extended periods.
· Occasionally assist with or demonstrate basic vocational tasks (e.g., assembling items, sorting, using simple tools).
· Light lifting may be required (up to 25 lbs.),
· Clear verbal and non-verbal communication skills are essential to adapt to varied communication styles of neurodivergent adults.
· May need to use visual supports or assistive communication tools.
· Ability to model calm behavior and use sensory-regulation techniques when needed.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
· Usually a mix of environments: classrooms, on-site training spaces.
· Often slower-paced and highly structured to accommodate individual learning styles and support needs.
· Requires adaptability and flexibility in task planning and communication.
· Emphasis on creating low-stimulation, predictable, and supportive settings.
· May require modifying the environment (e.g., minimizing noise, using natural lighting, or providing sensory tools).
· Supervisors must ensure a safe environment, both physically and emotionally.
· May involve managing or de-escalating behaviors, following individual support plans, and coordinating with support staff or therapists.
· Regular interaction with case managers, therapists, job coaches, families, and employers.
Compensation details: 65000-65000 Yearly Salary
