Vocational Specialist - ACT Team - Tandym Group : Job Details

A social services organization in New York City is actively seeking a dedicated professional to join their Manhattan-based Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team as a Vocational Specialist.

About the Opportunity:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Assignment Length: Ongoing (Contract to Perm)
• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 9am to 5pm (1-hour unpaid lunch)
• Department: Behavioral Health
• Team: Assertive Community Treatment (ACT)
• Fieldwork: 5 days/week, primarily throughout Manhattan

Responsibilities:

• Integrate vocational goals and services with the tasks of all the ACT Team members
• Assist through all phases of the vocational service provision
• Perform routine clinical services as a member of the ACT Team
• Oversee the recipients and for charting services
• Ensure revisions to the plan as the participant's needs change
• Advocate for the rights and preferences of the participant, whenever possible
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience working with persons who are seriously mentally ill
• Bachelors Degree
• Computer savvy
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, etc.)
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized
