The Department of Psychology at The University of Mississippi invites applications for a visiting, full-time, 9-month appointment at the Instructional Assistant rank with an anticipated start date of August 2025. This is a non-tenure track position that is for one year and renewable for up an additional year. The standard teaching load is four courses each fall and spring semester.
The candidate filling this position will be asked to teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses including but not limited to: Introduction to Psychology, Brain and Behavior, Drugs and Behavior, Physiological Psychology, and other courses in the faculty member's specialty. Course assignments will be made by the Director of Undergraduate Studies and Department Chair in consultation with the faculty member.
Minimum RequirementsApplicants must have completed or be on track to complete a PhD in Psychology or a related field (including, but not limited to cognitive neuroscience or behavioral neuroscience grounded in psychological science). Applicants who will be ABD at the time of appointment will be considered.
Preferred QualificationsExperience in teaching graduate and/or undergraduate courses, especially in the courses listed above.
