Vision/Video/Error Proofing Engineer - Vertiv Holdings : Job Details

Vertiv is hiring a Controls Engineer who will be responsible for vision system technology, planning the implementation strategy, and supporting regional teams' implementation of vision systems across the Vertiv manufacturing world to assure performance, reliability, maintainability, schedule adherence, and cost control within the production sites. We can hire in Columbus, OH, Detroit, MI, Anderson, SC or Lincoln, NE.

• Design, develop and implement global vision system strategy.
• Lead the business relationship with vision system technology suppliers.
• Stay informed of emerging vision system technologies and lead the industrialization process of implementing new vision system technologies.
• Inform and guide continuous improvement within Vertivs operations, related to quality assurance using vision systems.
• Design develop and implement strategic and standardized procedures to establish a culture of excellence and reliability in vision system implementation across global facilities.
• Offer insights and recommendations to enhance product designs and troubleshoot manufacturing challenges in collaboration with various stakeholders.
• Manage access to training material for manufacturing teams and facilitate certification programs for factory engineers for vision systems.

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Manufacturing, or Vision System Related Fields
• Certifications for Vision System Professionals
• +5 years of experience

• Experience commissioning vision systems in a manufacturing environment 2+ years
• Knowledge of AI based vision system and traditional vision system tools.
• Can work with machine vision systems for robot guidance
• Has experience implementing and refining standardized procedures to enhance reliability and excellence in vision system implementations.
• Ability to teach others the skills required to maintain vision system implementations.
• Can travel to international locations to assist in vision system implementations.

Travel requirement: 25%
