Job Summary:
This role is responsible for supporting global Creative operations in our Nashville office. Primary workflows include graphic still art and video content creation, non-linear editing tasks, pseudo and lyric video design, video content QC and remediation, transcoding, and any related administrative services.
Job Function:
- Act as a creative and technical operator for video production and post-production workflows
- Conceptualize, design, and develop key visual assets for video content, brand campaigns, and social media for task-specific challenges on behalf of our labels and artists under tight deadlines
- Pitch original creative ideas and proactively suggest design-forward solutions for content challenges
- Collaborate with editors and producers to ensure cohesive visual storytelling across formats
- Translate abstract creative ideas into tangible design systems and motion-ready assets
- Develop title treatments, lower thirds, graphics packages, and other supporting visuals for video
- Stay current with design trends, tools, and visual culture to keep the team inspired and relevant
- Capture live concert, b-roll, behind the scenes, and promo footage on behalf of artists and management
- Efficiently utilize a wide range of VFX, video, audio, and ancillary production and post-production tools
- Edit, compress and quality check assets for subsequent productization and archive
- Make sound, independent decisions, and know when to escalate issues
- Cross train other team members in standard operating procedures for Creative workflows
Job Requirements:
- 4+ years of impactful editing and content creation experience in the digital video or social media sectors
- Strong visual storytelling – understands narrative flow across still and motion
- Composition and layout – can design for impact across digital, print, and video formats
- Thorough working knowledge of video editing, encoding, audio and video mastering and their common failures or technical challenges
- Experience working with digital cameras, lenses, and peripherals strongly preferred
- Creative self-starter and problem solver who brings ideas, mood boards, and campaign directions without prompts
- The aptitude to normalize, modify, and prepare file-based content to defined specifications and workflows
- In-depth knowledge of and the ability to perform advanced troubleshooting in a Mac-based work environment with a variety of 3rd party applications
- Keen knowledge of production/post-production workflow and infrastructure requirements
- Ability to provide constructive feedback around practices, tools and methods related to video production and post-production
- Experimental problem solving with design instincts in ambiguous and challenging creative scenarios
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, as needed, to meet the needs of our labels and partners. Current shift schedule is 9 am-6 pm (may be subject to change due to business demands)
