Resonant Works Studios is an ethically-driven, sustainability-conscious, AI-powered media and integration company in Portland. We create original, locally focused digital media and teach responsible AI through consulting and workshops. We're not making AI slop, some projects use AI minimally or not at all, others are heavily generative. We always pick the right tool for the right job and keep human creativity in control.

The Role

We're hiring a Founding Video Editor & Context Engineer, a hybrid creative/technical role for someone who loves editing and enjoys learning new tools (“vibe coding,” our term for context engineering). You'll work directly with the founder (15+ years creative, using AI since 2019) to build workflows, ship shows, and document processes so the team can scale.

Schedule & Location

• 15 hrs/week (3 hrs/day, Wed–Sun)
• On-site in Downtown Portland for the first 6 months (mask-friendly), then hybrid with periodic office days

What you'll do

• Edit flagship series in the Food and Tech niches (Adobe Premiere Pro)
• Learn/apply vibe coding (context engineering) to craft prompts and iterate production tools
• Document workflows clearly so others can follow them
• Tackle technical challenges with persistence and curiosity
• Assist with production planning/management
• Co-shape the studio's creative and technical direction

What you bring

• Demonstrated video editing skills (Premiere Pro)
• Detail orientation; comfort with technical complexity
• Willingness to take on producer tasks when needed
• Curiosity about AI-assisted workflows (we'll teach you)
• Portland-based, community-minded

Nice to have (we'll teach you if not)

• Short-form editing chops
• Prior tinkering with AI tools
• Cursor, Claude Code CLI, or similar
• Basic scripting or automation
• Founding W-2 role with real equity (1%)

• Help make Portland a leader in ethical, sustainable creative tech
• Grow as the company scales
