Victim Advocate - Texas State University : Job Details

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases concurrently. Demonstrated experience in assessing the severity and urgency of assigned cases with the ability to aptly provide support, identify specific needs, and prioritize referrals and/or resources. Demonstrated experience in launching a new support program or improving referral systems that align with both survivor needs and organizational missions. Demonstrated experience in maintaining accurate, up-to-date records in secure databases or case management systems is essential. This includes intake notes, follow-up logs, and service documentation. Bachelors degree in psychology, social work, counseling, social work, or a related field. Experience in human services, particularly with victims of interpersonal violence. At least two years of experience in victim advocacy. Preferred Qualifications A masters degree in social work, counseling, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
