  • Transaction Management: As a member of the debt capital markets team (DCM), the individual will lead the settlement process of debt financing transactions, in multiple currencies and jurisdictions, for public sector clients;
  • Product Knowledge: Proficient in the documentation of new issuances and their respective issuance programs and settlement procedures. Strong knowledge of depositories (DTC, CDS, Euroclear, Clearstream etc.), Understanding of trade flows and integration of back-office systems . Strong expertise in trade bookings, SSI's, and client allocations. Familiarity with the ETP primary market transactions (Create/Redeem);
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulations and risk management standards during the transaction process and support KYC and on-boarding of DCM clients;
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ETP issuers, legal counsel, clearing houses, agents, and other market participants;
  • Stakeholder Communication: Manage communication between all internal and external stakeholders throughout the transaction process;
  • Business Development: Assist in the development of process efficiencies for Corporate DCM, ECM clients and ETP issuers;
  • Team Leadership: Contributing to the professional development of junior staff in an expanding capital markets platform.
Your Team: NBCFl's US Corporate Debt Capital Markets (DCM) group is engaged in advising, structuring and originating debt securities across a broad range of Canadian corporate issuers. The group is actively involved in executing investment grade and high yield transactions in both the public and private placement markets to institutional and retail investors in the US. The individual will reside on the private side within Debt Capital Markets and be responsible for managing and executing the documentation and settlement process for debt financing transactions, ensuring compliance with regulations, and further supporting our issuer client relationships. Qualifications and Experience:
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in finance, business, accounting or related field to the sector of activity;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the financial services / markets industry is required;
  • Experience set with public sector clients; and the acquired skills to assist in the development of process efficiencies for Corporate DCM, ECM & ETP issuers;
  • Ability to think strategically and develop a deep understanding of client & business needs;
  • Excellent teamwork, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills;
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently.
