Overview
The Vice President, Property Management is responsible for providing oversight of the day-to-day activities of an assigned multifamily portfolio, including property operations, financial performance, asset management, asset preservation, people management, marketing, training, CapEx and compliance. The Vice President, Property Management will ensure that established financial performance targets are achieved or exceeded, assure compliance with all company policies and procedures and ensure quality delivery of services. The Vice President, Property Management will be responsible for managing client relations with fee managed owners and asset managers and will actively pursue new fee business for the company.
Student Portfolio Management required. Must reside or be willing to relocate to Indianapolis, IN, Cincinnati, OH or Louisville, KY.
Qualifications
Training/Education
- College degree in finance, property management, real estate or business; a master's degree highly preferred
- Real Estate broker's license a plus
- CPM designation a plus
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation a must
- Travel will be required
Experience/Skills
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years' progressive experience managing a portfolio of units in multiple markets.
- Minimum of seven years (7) of successful supervisory experience; managing RPM's or District Managers
- Strong background in managing diverse types of multi-family communities – including conventional, mixed use, student, and LIHTC and HUD projects.
- Strong focus on marketing, rehab, and re-positioning assets.
- Strong track record of successful personnel management – including hiring, training and staff development.
- Strong track record of managing client relations
- Technical understanding of design and construction
- High degree of experience in financials, budget planning, expense monitoring and profit and loss responsibility
- Excellent computer skills, with emphasis on Microsoft Office; Yardi; LRO; P2P; Concur; Excel
