Vice President – Program Operations
iMentor is seeking a results-focused, operations leader to serve as its next Vice President – Program Operations (VPPO). Reporting to the Chief Impact Officer, the VPPO will be responsible for leading a team at the intersection of strategy and execution for a National Program Team focused on tech-enabled program delivery and support at scale. Additionally, the VPPO will provide responsive strategies and solutions to program teams in iMentor's direct service regions. The VPPO will play a critical role in stewarding iMentor toward high-quality program models that align with the organization's mission and new strategic framework. This role requires expertise in overseeing tech-enabled programming, as well as digital marketing operations and services at scale. Operations Leadership
- Collaborate with the Chief Impact Officer and national and regional program leaders to develop and execute the program operations strategy in alignment with iMentor's mission and strategic goals.
- Provide thought leadership and contribute to the development of program-related initiatives and innovations.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the organization's program models, ensuring their successful implementation, adoption in partner spaces and scalability.
Tech-Enabled Program Delivery and Support
- Collaborate with iMentor's product and tech support and learning and impact teams to identify, evaluate, and implement technology solutions to optimize program operations and support, defining requirements for technology and data enhancements to iMentor's tech solutions, including our partner, mentor and mentee-facing technology platform and online community.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of tech-enabled program delivery models.
- Ensure effective utilization of digital tools, platforms, and resources to enhance program effectiveness and participant engagement.
Solution-Driven Execution
- Lead a team that develops and implements strategies to provide responsive resources and solutions to program teams in iMentor's direct service regions.
- Provide leadership for new work for emerging opportunities and provide solutions for partners in Community Based Organizations and higher education.
- Identify and lead a process improvement approach based on continuous learning; execute changes to improve stakeholders' experience (including: direct reports, colleagues, regional team members and program partners and participants).
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to leverage expertise, resources, and best practices in program operations.
- Regularly assess program needs, identify gaps, and develop innovative solutions to enhance program delivery and impact.
End-to-End Experience Creation
- Lead the creation of successful and trusted end-to-end experiences for iMentor volunteers, program participants, and partners within both digital and analog spaces.
- In partnership with Chief Impact Officer and direct reports, ensure consistent program quality and alignment across regions through the implementation of standardized processes, procedures, and quality assurance mechanisms.
Team Leadership
- Provide cross-team project leadership and management to effectively execute projects, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and innovation.
- Provide operational leadership for national teams responsible for volunteer recruitment, volunteer screening, digital marketing, and customer support.
- Oversee Director of Recruitment Operations—responsible for our recruitment and screening experience—and Managing Director, Program Education and Implementation—responsible for creating trainings and resources that support staff, volunteers, and others in our direct service regions.
- Additional direct reports and workstreams anticipated as we build out offerings for tech-enabled program delivery and support at scale.
Qualifications

- At least 8 years of progressive experience in program operations, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge and experience in tech-enabled programming and digital marketing operations.
- Demonstrated success in designing and implementing scalable program models and customer support processes.
- Proven track record of driving operational excellence and achieving results.
- Experience in business and technical operations, ideally in a B2B organization, and proven ability to manage cross-team collaboration with product and technology teams.
- Strong people leader, skilled at leading through change with a proven ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Ability to consult, advise, communicate, and work collaboratively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong project management experience, with demonstrated success setting goals and milestones and managing to the achievement of ambitious goals, as well as leading others to achieve the same success.
- Innovative, entrepreneurial mindset and demonstrated ability to think creatively, create opportunities, and solve problems in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Flexible and adaptable; open to feedback, professional growth, learning, and improvement.

Additional Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree (MBA, MPA, MS, etc.) strongly preferred.
- Employment is conditioned upon successful completion of a background check, including fingerprinting conducted by the Division of Human Resources at the NYC Department of Education. Continued employment is contingent on successful completion of an annual rescreening.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel to our regional sites and partner programs several times per year.
- This position is located in commutable distance to our national headquarters in New York City; iMentor has a flexible work from home policy.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary $150,000 - $165,000 commensurate with experience.
- Up to 100% employer funded comprehensive medical and dental coverage.
- 18 days paid annual vacation (increasing annually to 21, 23, 25), 13 paid holidays + your birthday + one floating holiday, iMentor closed between Christmas and New Year's Day, plus 6-7 sick days annually.
