We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Vice President of Power Engineering to lead the design, development, and optimization of electrical power systems across our global data center infrastructure. This executive role will be responsible for ensuring high availability, efficiency, scalability, and sustainability of power systems, including the integration of cutting-edge technologies and renewable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set the vision and direction for the global power engineering strategy in alignment with the company's data center growth and sustainability goals.
• Lead a cross-functional team of electrical engineers, project managers, and external consultants.
• Drive innovation in power delivery, distribution, and backup systems to optimize performance and reduce total cost of ownership.
• Technical Oversight
• Oversee the design, specification, and implementation of power infrastructure including MV/LV systems, UPS, generators, transformers, switchgear, and energy storage systems.
• Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE, IEC).
• Evaluate and implement emerging technologies such as AI-driven energy optimization, modular power solutions, and advanced monitoring systems.
• Operational Excellence
• Collaborate with operations, construction, and facilities teams to ensure power systems meet uptime and reliability requirements (Tier III/IV design).
• Establish and maintain engineering standards, documentation practices, and quality assurance protocols.
• Monitor KPIs and performance metrics to continuously improve system reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Lead engineering input in major capital projects including site selection, design reviews, and commissioning.
• Manage relationships with external engineering firms, utility companies, OEMs, and construction partners.
• Develop and manage power engineering budgets, timelines, and risk mitigation plans.
• Sustainability & Compliance
• Champion the adoption of renewable energy sources and carbon reduction strategies within data center design and operation.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with energy usage, emissions, and grid interconnection requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's or Ph.D. preferred).
• 15+ years of progressive experience in power engineering, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role in data center, hyperscale, or critical infrastructure environments.
• Deep knowledge of data center electrical infrastructure design, operation, and industry best practices.
• Strong understanding of energy markets, grid dynamics, and renewable energy integration.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent preferred.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with hyperscale or large-scale colocation data centers.
• Knowledge of sustainable design practices and ESG reporting.
• Familiarity with power modeling tools and digital twin technologies.
