What you'll do :

Our Juris Banking team is seeking a Commercial Underwriter responsible for analyzing, structuring, underwriting, and coordinating the closing of new loan requests and renewals for various lending products to law firms and related businesses. The Underwriter will collaborate with the Relationship Manager to manage loans, monitor credit risks, and ensure compliance with banking regulations.

Key responsibilities include reviewing loan structures, financial spreads, entity structures, collateral, market data, and reports to understand risks and prepare credit actions. The Underwriter will also develop and maintain client relationships, assess credit needs, gather information for financing requests, coordinate loan processing, and ensure adherence to lending policies.

Additional duties involve providing excellent customer service, handling underwriting and portfolio management tasks, and supporting the Relationship Managers' portfolio.

What you'll need :

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• At least 7 years of commercial underwriting experience at a financial institution.
• Strong credit knowledge and underwriting skills in Commercial & Industrial lending.
• Experience in financial statement and tax return analysis.
• Excellent communication and portfolio management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple credit requests efficiently.
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
