Position Overview

We're looking for a proven operations leader to step into a VP-level role overseeing manufacturing at a key facility in Thomasville, NC. This is an opportunity to shape the full operational strategy of a business built on precision, quality, and delivery excellence. The right candidate will bring a track record of managing large-scale production teams, driving process improvements, and creating alignment between operations, product development, and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day and long-term strategic operations of a vertically integrated manufacturing facility
  • Build and mentor a strong leadership team across production, purchasing, scheduling, and customer service
  • Implement systems and processes that increase efficiency, improve quality, and reduce costs
  • Partner with design, sales, and product development to ensure operations can meet future demand
  • Oversee supply chain activities to maintain delivery timelines and material availability
  • Set performance goals, analyze operational metrics, and report progress to executive leadership
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and environmental standards
  • Cultivate a strong, accountable culture that values craftsmanship and operational excellence

Qualifications

  • Senior-level leadership experience within a manufacturing environment (furniture or related industries preferred)
  • Strong command of plant operations, production planning, supply chain, and quality systems
  • History of successfully leading and scaling teams of 80+ employees across multiple departments
  • Ability to lead in a dynamic, hands-on environment and influence across all levels of the organization
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or a related discipline (Master's preferred)
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a continuous improvement mindset
