Medik8 has a global presence with a high growth trajectory, specifically in the US market.For the US Vice President of Sales and Commercial (Wholesale), we're looking for a strategic, visionary and commercially savvy leader to own and drive wholesale performance in partnership with key retail accounts. This is a rare opportunity to build a wholesale business from the ground up, leading all retail partnerships and in charge of building your entire team. If you've successfully scaled skincare with US Sephora, Ulta, or both—we want to meet you!Key Responsibilities:
- Retail Relationship Management: Own and deepen relationships with strategic retail partners to maximize collaboration and growth.
- Wholesale P&L Ownership: Align closely with the US General Manager on business objectives and key performance drivers.
- Data-Driven Growth: Analyze performance metrics to uncover opportunities that improve profitability and deliver against commercial KPIs.
- Strategic Sales/Joint Business Planning: Lead sell-in to align to strategic priorities to protect brand positioning & drive the category with our retail partners
- Contract & Business Negotiation: Lead all commercial negotiations, including margin, placement, assortment, brand launches, and promotions.
- Strategic Sell-In & Sell-Out Leadership: Develop and execute strategies to accelerate revenue, expand market share, and elevate brand presence at retail.
- Field Team Enablement: Provide clear sell-out direction and vision to the national field team to achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Go-to-Market Execution: Implement strategic selling plans that drive growth through new product launches, hero SKU elevation, event execution, and education programs.
- Long-Term Planning: Build and execute a 5-year wholesale expansion roadmap.
People & Team Leadership
- Build your dream team—own strategic hires across Account Executives, Field Education, Sales Admin, and more.
- Train and lead the national field team, set sales targets, and drive door-level results.
- Partner cross-functionally with Marketing and Visual Merchandising to ensure seamless POS execution.
- Co-create innovative programs with the US VP of Marketing to enhance productivity and build lasting brand love.
- Foster a culture of accountability, excellence, and performance.
Operational Excellence
- Develop accurate sales forecasts and reporting to drive informed decision-making and create the processes for the wider sales team.
- Streamline sales operations including inventory (retail, testers, samples), pricing, and promotional strategies for overall sales team.
- Create KPIs wholesale department tracks with precision to measure sell-in to sell-thru impact.
Who You Are:
- 15+ years in commercial roles, with 5+ years leading wholesale & retail sales at a senior level.
- Must have experience working with Ulta or Sephora—skincare experience highly preferred.
- Proven ability to exceed revenue targets in the beauty category.
- Deep understanding of brick-and-mortar retail operations and sales cycles.
- Dynamic leadership skills—excited to build and inspire a team from the ground up.
- Comfortable in a hybrid NYC-based role and open to regular travel (30–40%).
