Our client is currently seeking a Vice President of Sales & Marketing for their fast growing Manufacturing company. Reporting into the President and directly collaborating with the GM and Controller, the VP of Sales will responsible for leading and executing the company's sales strategy with a heavy emphasis on distribution and OEM clients. This leadership role will oversee a high-performance sales team of 13 persons with 4-5 Salaried Managers. The VP will be responsible for cultivating strategic customer relationships, expanding market share, and driving profitable growth.
This person will need to be based in Springfield IL. A highly comprehensive Relocation Package is available that includes a Pay to Move and Covering Closing Costs. This position will have 50-70% travel and will not exceed 2-3 nights at a time. This person needs to be a strategic thinker who can manage and execute a broader vision for the future.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth across distribution and OEM channels.
• Align sales efforts with corporate goals, pricing strategy, product development, and market positioning.
• Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to proactively adapt and lead the sales approach.
• Set performance goals, establish KPIs, and hold team members accountable for results.
• Foster a culture of accountability, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors, OEMs, and strategic accounts.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow market share.
• Participate in high-stakes negotiations and contract discussions.
• Serve as the sales voice on the executive team, contributing to long-term company strategy and planning.
• Oversee forecasting, territory management, customer segmentation, and reporting tools to enhance visibility and performance.
• Continuously improve sales processes and implement best practices
