About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Safety and Regulatory Affairs to lead its enterprise-wide strategies in patient safety and regulatory compliance. This senior executive will be responsible for developing and sustaining a high-reliability culture that prioritizes the safety of patients, staff, and visitors. Key responsibilities include overseeing the hospital's patient safety program, incident management, risk mitigation, and policy development to reduce harm. The VP will also direct the development and implementation of a system-wide accreditation program to ensure continuous compliance with all federal and state regulatory standards. The successful candidate will be a champion of a Just Culture environment, engage in safety culture development, and drive the organization's transformation into a High Reliability Organization. They will be expected to lead a multidisciplinary team, foster collaboration across departments, and support the recruitment and retention of high-performing team members. The role requires a Master's degree in a related field, a minimum of 10 years of healthcare experience, and at least 5 years in a leadership role related to patient safety or risk management. Strong knowledge of hospital operations, clinical workflows, and safety science principles is essential, as is familiarity with regulatory standards from relevant agencies. Clinical licensure and professional certifications in healthcare risk management or patient safety are highly preferred.
