About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic Vice President of People and Operations to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will lead strategic initiatives to align talent strategies with our organizational goals and mission. Your expertise will be invaluable in managing a variety of functions including HR, DEI, recruiting, compliance, office management, and compensation.

The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 6-8 years of experience in HR and operations, including at least 2 years in an executive leadership role within mission-driven or nonprofit environments. A Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field is required, with a preference for a Master's degree.

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing HR strategies that enhance performance management and employee engagement.
  • Advising executive leadership on staffing budgets and presenting workforce and DEI updates to the board.
  • Driving planning, process improvement, and change management initiatives.
  • Leading efforts in fostering a diverse and inclusive environment.
  • Representing the organization externally and leading cross-functional initiatives.

An in-depth understanding of employment law, HRIS systems, and DEI practices is essential. Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills will be critical to your success in this role. A commitment to equity and the ability to lead diverse teams are also key attributes we are seeking.
