About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP, Letter of Credit Supervisor to oversee a team of letter of credit technicians and ensure the smooth processing of all related activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of 3-8 technicians, approving transactions, and maintaining compliance with industry standards and the company's procedures. This role requires a professional with a minimum of 5 years' experience in trade finance and letters of credit, a proven track record of managing a team, and a strong knowledge of trade finance and compliance. Key responsibilities for the VP, Letter of Credit Supervisor include ensuring that all letter of credit transactions adhere to client instructions, UCP Publication 600/ISP98, and the company's credit and compliance procedures. The role also involves providing technical support to clients and corporate groups, preparing and executing letter of credit documents, and monitoring the processing of sensitive transactions. The VP will be the point of contact for periodic compliance reviews and will be expected to maintain accurate records for management reporting. Additionally, the role requires the ability to coordinate with the Canada team, approve outgoing SWIFT messages, and review past due fee reports for the letter of credit portfolio.
