The Position
Reporting to the CEO, the VP of Engineering is responsible for the overall strategy and execution of DeZURIK's engineering, which includes new product development, sustaining engineering, and industry standards. Responsibilities include ensuring the development of efficient and high-quality processes, standards, and systems to support company growth in a complex custom product environment. Direct reports include Site Engineering Managers and Research, Standards, and Project Engineers.
The VP of Engineering will stay abreast of trending technical and business conditions affecting the company, as well as industry best practices, adjusting and implementing the actions of the Engineering team as needed.

Candidate Profile
The VP of Engineering will have a proven track record of success leading engineering activities in a custom product environment. The fully qualified candidate will have a bachelor's degree in engineering or a recognized equivalency and deep knowledge of valve design, actuation systems, and relevant fluid dynamics principles. This individual should have a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience and increasing responsibility in engineering management.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and agile with a disposition towards building high performing teams. Having a track record of problem-solving and continuous improvement, along with formal training or certification in structured problem-solving and continuous improvement (e.g., Lean/Six Sigma), is desired. Generally, this individual will be process-oriented with the ability to use judgment as to when deviation from standard processes is appropriate.

The successful candidate must have excellent business acumen and a leadership aptitude with strong communication skills and the ability to think strategically. He or she will have an outstanding track record and a reputation for driving improvement with business judgment, leadership skills, and integrity. This individual must have the ability to establish immediate credibility at all levels, inside and outside the organization.
Location
The VP of Engineering will be based in DeZURIK's Sartell, Minnesota, headquarters, and the role will require 25% travel. Candidates close to other DeZURIK locations may also be considered.
We offer a competitive base salary in the $190,000 to $225,000 range, based on experience and qualifications, along with an annual bonus and the opportunity to participate in long-term incentives, including a stock appreciation rights (SARs) program.
