The Company is seeking a Vice President of Development with a strong background in fundraising, donor relations, finance, and grants management, particularly within the philanthropic Jewish community. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with a passion for the mission of the organization, which is dedicated to providing comprehensive support to individuals affected by limb loss. Key responsibilities for the role include managing a portfolio of major donors and prospects, overseeing all donor-centric development programs, and working closely with the leadership team to meet fundraising goals. The Vice President of Development will also be responsible for engaging the board of directors in fundraising activities and may be involved in hiring, directing, coaching, and supervising a small development team in the future. Applicants for the Vice President of Development position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' of senior-level fundraising experience, with a proven track record in closing major gifts. The role requires excellence in relationship-building, strategic networking, and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be adept at implementing and overseeing fundraising best practices, including donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and reporting. Experience in developing compelling funding proposals and impact reports is essential. The Vice President of Development will also be responsible for utilizing the organization's fundraising software to track donor interactions and analyze fundraising metrics.
