About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Development to lead the execution of a high-profile, 35-acre mixed-use development in the Midwest. This landmark project includes substantial horizontal and vertical components, with commercial, residential, and retail high-rise assets at its core. You will be responsible for driving the project from concept through completion, overseeing all phases including entitlement, design, construction, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead full-cycle development of a large-scale, mixed-use site with multiple vertical assets.
• Manage pre-development efforts including land use planning, entitlements, permitting, and community engagement.
• Oversee horizontal infrastructure buildout and vertical construction of high-rise components.
• Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, consultants, city officials, and third-party contractors.
• Maintain control over timelines, budgets, and quality to ensure successful delivery.
• Provide strategic guidance to ownership and investors on project vision, phasing, and execution.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of real estate development experience, with a strong track record in high-rise construction.
• Bachelor's degree in real estate, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, or a related field is required; Master's degree (MBA or related) strongly preferred.
• Proven success in delivering mixed-use projects (including commercial, multifamily residential, and retail).
• Exceptional analytic skills with significant underwriting and pro forma expertise.
• Deep understanding of both horizontal site development and vertical construction delivery.
• Skilled in managing project teams, consultants, and stakeholders through complex entitlement and construction processes.
• Ability to relocate to the Midwest; full relocation assistance provided.
