About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Academic Affairs and Institutional Excellence. The successful candidate will be a leader in educational programs and services, ensuring the quality of the academic curriculum, instruction, and student assessment. This role is pivotal in maintaining adherence to regional and programmatic accreditation standards and in fostering the integration of technologies and innovative pedagogies to enhance the learning environment. The VP will also be responsible for responding to emerging issues, trends, and community needs, and must be passionate about the community college mission. Key responsibilities include directing a high-quality learning environment that promotes excellence, innovation, and student success, as well as creating collaborative work teams and a culture of partnership among faculty and staff. Applicants must have a Master's degree and a minimum of 7 years' related work experience, with a preference for those holding an earned doctorate and having a minimum of 5 years' each of teaching and progressive academic leadership experience. The role involves strategic planning, supervising institutional effectiveness functions, and overseeing the development and evaluation of academic courses and programs. The VP will also assist in establishing the organizational structure for academic divisions, coordinating communication and cooperative efforts, and ensuring the effective operation of academic programs across multiple campuses. Strong leadership, supervision, and a commitment to the success of the academic and support staff are essential. The position may require out-of-town and evening commitments and the ability to represent the institution in various community and state affiliations.
